What Fellow Practitioners Are Saying
Testimonials
Jo is an exceptional clinician whose depth of knowledge in shoulder assessment and rehabilitation is truly remarkable. Her understanding of complexity, her ability to analyse nuanced clinical presentations, and her constant engagement with the evolving scientific literature place her among the very best in our profession.
What sets Jo apart even further is her extraordinary capacity to teach. She adapts the depth and level of her content with remarkable precision, ensuring that clinicians — whether highly experienced or earlier in their journey — feel both challenged and supported. She does not simply transmit knowledge; she elevates clinical reasoning.
“When I think of shoulders, I think of Jo Gibson. I still remember first hearing Jo speak at a conference over 15 years ago — I was struck straight away by her clarity, warmth, and the way she made complex shoulder concepts feel completely accessible. Fast forward to now, and having had the privilege to work alongside her, I can honestly say she is one of the kindest and most generous educators in the MSK space.
If you’re looking to build real confidence in managing shoulder presentations — and learn from someone who genuinely cares about both patients and clinicians — I cannot recommend Jo’s course highly enough. She’s not only a top educator, but a top human too.”
Jo has been one of the most influential people in the development of my knowledge, skills and confidence as a shoulder reconditioning specialist. She is an absolute fountain of knowledge and is able to blend and articulate research, technical understanding and clinical experience like very few others. What makes this even more special is that Jo effortlessly sprinkles everything with a level of wisdom that only comes from being at the top of the game.
Jo is the leading shoulder physio in the UK. Whether you are a weekend warrior, a professional athlete or if your shoulder is having an impact on your career, personal and social life, I would highly recommend Jo.
Jo has a wonderful holistic approach to patient management. She has a huge knowledge and experience in respect to performance, health and rehabilitation. I would highly recommend Jo to any individual or organisation that is considering non surgical shoulder management.

Jo is world‑class, not just in knowledge, but in her ability to apply it under pressure, communicate it clearly, and support athletes and staff through high‑stakes decision‑making.
In elite football, especially with goalkeepers, you need people who can operate with precision, speed, and absolute professionalism. Jo delivers that every single time. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
"Whether I’m seeking to deepen my understanding of shoulder rehabilitation, discuss the diagnosis of complex shoulder conditions, or receive treatment myself, Jo is always my first point of contact.
I speak not only from professional collaboration, but also from personal experience as one of her patients — her care was both highly effective and delivered to the highest standard.
Quite simply, Jo is one of the very best in her field.”

The MSK industry is extremely lucky to have Jo thinking in our direction and fortunately tens of thousands of clinicians have noticed this fact and take her courses. I have the great fortune of working with the best MSK educators in the world and I sometimes ask them what it takes to develop a well rounded credibility.

Jo Gibson is by far the best physio I have ever worked with.
Rock climbing puts an enormous strain on the shoulders.
For the past 15 years Jo has helped guide me through many injuries back to high performance.
I have recommended her to dozens of other elite climbers. They agree Jo is the best.
It is a 4 hr round trip, but I never hesitate.

Finding top class physiotherapists is absolute gold dust, you want to really trust what you are being told, as their advice is going to have a big impact on the quality of the resolution of a physical problem.
What sets Jo apart is not only her depth of expertise in shoulder rehabilitation, but her clinical judgement and structured progression. I have complete faith in her assessment and fully trust the decisions she makes. I am now 63 years old, so to be able to make progress at this age with a significant injury history is very heartening.
When I met Jo I had been plagued with shoulder injuries for the whole of my career and had already had 11 shoulder surgeries.. I decided to not leave any stone unturned and that is when Jo’s name first popped up. My only regret is that I hadn’t met her 10 years earlier.
She is a lovely, caring woman who is unbelievably good at her job, but without an ego (which is very rare in my experience).
She spent the first 20 minutes of meeting me just listening to my past experiences and symptoms and then quite quickly made a plan and programme that she felt would help me and it certainly did. The fact that I haven’t had further surgery since meeting her is the biggest compliment I can give her based on the fact that I have on average had a reconstruction every year since I was 18!!
I can’t speak highly enough of Jo and if colleagues or friends of mine are struggling she is the first person I recommend.
